Shaheed Smriti Volleyball Tournament at DU with initiative of DUCSU.

DUCSU Shaheed Memorial Volleyball Competition-2019 is being organized in the presence of the Dhaka University Central Student Parliament (DUCSU) in memory of the martyrs.DUCSU Sports Secretary Shakil Ahmed Tanvir made this known at a press conference at Dhaka University Journalist Association on Monday. In a written statement, Shakil Ahmed said that DUCSU has been working relentlessly to bring back the tradition of sports at Dhaka University.So far DUCSU has organized and co-sponsored more than 12 sports competitions.In continuation of the same,DUCSU is going to organize different sports competitions for the sports students of Dhaka University. He said that the DUCSU Shaheed Memorial Volleyball Competition-2019 is going to be organized with the students to commemorate the martyrs of Dhaka University at the Physical Education Center on Friday and Saturday,November 22-24.Earlier, from November 4 to 7,the department was asked to register students from all departments and halls with the notice of the internal sports secretary. Shakil also said that the spontaneous response of the students tempted us. Among the applications received from the students,on 6 and 8 November, the lottery was made up of six groups of girls which were divided into two groups and 12 groups of boys which were divided into four groups.A total of 5 teams will participate in the competition. The team was named after eighteen martyred teachers of Dhaka University in honor of the great liberation war.He recalled the martyrs and said that in the great liberation war,we have got the taste of independence sovereignty in exchange for the blood of three million martyrs.The country's highest educational institution Dhaka University did not escape the brutality of the Pakistani torture. He said that many people,including teachers,students,officials,employees of Dhaka University had poured fresh blood into the chest for the country. The contest is going to be organized by DUCSU in an attempt to remember them.
